The WZ.25 Grom knife is designed in consultation with soldiers and outdoor enthusiasts, its production is commissioned to the renowned Polish manufacturer Za-Pas. It is a durable tactical knife with a 15-centimeter blade with a Clip-Point profile and a Full Tang construction. The main advantage of the knife is the blade made of excellent Swedish Sleipner steel, which has undergone professional heat treatment. The ergonomics and durability of the handle are ensured by profiled G10 laminate linings. The set includes a holster made of impact-resistant ABS plastic that can be attached to a belt, as well as a multi-position attachment to equipment.

Sleipner tool steel (Tillverkad med svenskt stål!)

The WZ.25 Thunderer is made of a single piece of Sleipner tool steel developed by the Swedish steel manufacturer Uddeholm. This steel combines superior wear resistance with high resistance to cracking and chipping, a difficult combination to achieve but highly desirable for a knife used for heavy work and combat. In addition, this steel is much less susceptible to corrosion than typical low-alloy tool steels. The name Sleipner comes from Norse mythology and was the name of the magical eight-legged horse ridden by the god of war and warriors Odin.

Geometry and hardening, flat grind, bolster and notch on the spine

The blade with a Clip-Point profile and a length of 147 mm is hardened to 59 +/-1 HRC and has a black, textured coating for increased corrosion protection. The blade is flattened halfway up the blade, which, combined with the 4.3 mm thick spine, ensures high durability while maintaining optimal cutting properties. The thickened tip profile significantly reduces the risk of it breaking. Jimping (notch) is placed on the spine, where the thumb rests, to facilitate blade control during cutting. A residual one-sided bolster does not interfere with work and, together with the cut under the index finger, sufficiently protects the hand even during strong thrusts.

G10 laminate handle lining, security cord hole

The handle is made of ergonomically shaped G10 glass-epoxy laminate cladding screwed onto the tang. The matte texture of the cladding ensures a secure grip, even with wet or dirty hands. At the end of the handle, there is a hole, the so-called lanyard hole, which allows for a security cord to be threaded through.

Strong ABS holster with multi-position attachment

The set includes a rigid holster made of lightweight and damage-resistant ABS plastic. Holes and grommets on each side of the holster allow for multi-position attachment to equipment. The nylon belt loop is attached to the holster with a steel plate, which ensures high stability and durability of the entire construction.
